We would rather you knew now than on Saturday afternoon. Most fine jewellery, including ours, is made to order, which takes two to three working weeks. If you are ordering in the last few days before Mothering Sunday:
- Choose ready-to-ship pieces. These leave our workshop within three to five working days, with insured delivery to the UK.
- Give the promise on the day. A handwritten card with a photo of the piece she will receive is a lovely gift in itself.
- Plan for next year. Put a reminder in your calendar for early March.
Choosing the right size and metal
If you are unsure, go smaller and finer. Delicate pieces are easier to wear every day and suit almost everyone. For metal, look at what she already wears most: yellow gold is warm and traditional, rose gold is soft and flattering on most skin tones, and white gold or sterling silver look crisp and modern.
Make it personal
Engraving a date, initials or a short word inside a band turns jewellery into an heirloom. Keep it short (up to around 15 characters fits most rings), and remember that engraved pieces cannot be returned, so double-check the spelling.
