1. Textured gold
Hammered, brushed and engraved finishes give gold depth and catch low winter light beautifully.
2. Warm and coloured diamonds
Champagne, cognac and coloured lab-grown diamonds continue to replace some of the icy white of recent years.
3. The cocktail ring
Bold, glamorous rings, such as clusters, large ovals and halos, are back for the party season, worn on the right hand.
4. Chunky hoops
Thicker gold hoops, sometimes set with a line of diamonds, frame the face above high collars.
5. Layered pendants
Two pendants at different lengths over a fine knit.

Wider bands with set diamonds and bolder signet styles for men.
Wearing the trends without starting from scratch
- Add texture to what you own: a brushed or hammered band next to a polished ring makes both look new.
- Warm tones with yellow gold: champagne and cognac diamonds look richest in yellow or rose gold.
- One bold piece at a time: a cocktail ring or chunky hoops, not both, keeps an evening look balanced.
- Layer at different lengths: leave a few centimetres between pendants so the chains do not tangle.
Caring for textured gold
Hammered and engraved surfaces collect dust and lotion in their recesses. Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush, then dry them well. Avoid polishing cloths on brushed finishes: over time they shine the surface back up. When the texture starts to look worn, a jeweller can refresh the finish.
