Australia's jewellery industry gathers in Sydney from Saturday 22 to Monday 24 August 2026 for the International Jewellery Fair at ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour. It is the country's main jewellery trade event, where retailers order for the spring, wedding and Christmas seasons.

Planning your days at the fair
- Register as a trade visitor before the fair, and book appointments with the suppliers you already work with.
- Walk the floor once without buying, then go back to the stands on your shortlist.
- Check delivery dates against spring weddings and a summer Christmas: stock that arrives late is stock you discount.
- Under the Australian Consumer Law, descriptions must not mislead, so ask how lab-grown pieces are labelled on tags and invoices.
Buying from overseas exhibitors
About a quarter of exhibitors are international businesses. When you buy from them, GST applies on import, and duty depends on where the goods originate. To claim the lower tariff under a trade agreement such as AI-ECTA with India, you need proof that the goods originate there, so ask the supplier for it and check the requirements with your customs broker.
