Between two sizes? Choose the larger one — and remember we resize free of charge once within 30 days (how resizing works).
A ring that fits well feels comfortable and stays secure. You can find your size at home in a few minutes with a ring that already fits, a strip of paper, or our online sizer. Then use the chart on this page to convert it to the size you need. If it is not quite right, we resize most rings once free of charge within 30 days.
Method 1: measure a ring that already fits
- Choose a ring that fits the finger the new ring is for.
- Measure the inside diameter, edge to edge across the middle, in millimetres.
- Find the diameter in the chart to read the size.
Even easier: lay the ring on your screen in our digital ring sizer and it tells you the size.
Method 2: measure your finger with paper
- Cut a thin strip of paper, about 5 mm wide and 10 cm long.
- Wrap it around the base of your finger, snug but not tight.
- Mark where the paper overlaps, then measure the length to the mark in millimetres. This is your finger’s circumference.
- Check that the strip slides over your knuckle; if your knuckle is larger, use a size between the two.
- Find the circumference in the chart, or enter it in the digital ring sizer.
Method 3: ask us
Book an appointment and we will help you measure on a video call, or size you in person at our Surat showroom.
Tips for an accurate size
- Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are warm. They are smaller in the morning and in the cold.
- Measure the exact finger and hand the ring is for; your dominant hand is usually slightly larger.
- For a wide band (about 6 mm or more), choose half a size larger, because wide bands feel tighter.
- Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
- Measure two or three times to be sure.
Buying a ring as a surprise?
- Borrow a ring your partner wears on the right finger and measure it with our digital sizer, then return it before it is missed.
- Ask a close friend or family member who may know the size.

Frequently asked questions
What is the most common ring size?
For women it is around US 6 to 7 (UK L to N), and for men around US 9 to 10 (UK R to T), but fingers vary a lot, so it is always best to measure.
Are ring sizes the same in every country?
No. The US, the UK and Australia, India and Europe use different scales. Use the chart on this page to convert.
Can every ring be resized?
Most can, by up to two sizes. Full eternity rings cannot be resized because they have stones all the way round.
